This site is a personal blog. We write about fermented food and probiotics, including recipes and reviews. We have both long experience with healthy cooking and preparing fermented food. And we are happy to share whatever experience and knowledge we have gathered through the years.
Who we are
We are Ken and Helen, a married couple. We have prepared sauerkraut, fermented vegetables of all kinds, garlic, beetroot, natto, kefir, yogurt, butter, kombucha, and much more. We are big fans of raw food, vegetable juicing, intermittent fasting and high-intensity training.
Helen used to work as a chef in a big kitchen and daily prepared healthy foods of all kinds. She is a great and experienced baker of all kinds of delicious bread!
Ken grew up with a grandmother who was a great chef. Memories of helping her in the kitchen have been an inspiration to farm-style cooking. We have both traveled the world and collected smells and tastes from all around the globe.
What we do
We share what we have learned through experience in the kitchen and research about the benefits of fermented food and probiotics. We mainly prepare guides and recipes on how to prepare fermented vegetables, sauerkraut, yoghurt, kefir, sour-dough bread, and other fermented foods at home.

Why we do it
We believe in a natural, personal lifestyle. Fermented food is creative, personal, delicious and tremendously beneficial. Fermenting vegetables and milk products is an ancient, traditional way of cooking. It is the complete opposite to genetically modified, processed, sugar and chemical-loaded products offered by the food industry.
